Fresh Mulch, Clean Beds, and a Custom Lattice Fence

Sometimes a yard just needs structure. Not more plants, not more color - just a clear sense of where things belong. That's exactly what this setup was missing before we got started.

Out front, we installed fresh flower beds along the foundation with clean, curved edges that follow the natural shape of the home. Dark mulch fills the beds and creates a sharp contrast against the lawn. It makes everything read as intentional. The plants have room to breathe, weeds have a harder time taking hold, and the whole front of the house just looks more put-together.

The backyard is where things got really interesting. We built a custom wood lattice fence - two angled panels with a gap in the center - and planted a row of arborvitae right behind it. The lattice gives the space a defined boundary without fully closing it off. It's the kind of detail that makes a backyard feel like an actual outdoor room rather than just an open patch of grass.

Tying it all together is a round brick fire pit area sitting just off the bed. Everything in this yard now has a purpose and a place. The edging keeps the beds tight, the mulch keeps maintenance low, and the fence adds a layer of privacy and character that you don't usually see in a standard landscaping job.
